Date: 2007-04-22 09:15 pm (UTC)1. The Duellists, Ridley Scott's first film and some absolutely stunning swordplay.
2. Espedair Street by Iain Banks. Probably not his best book, but one of the most satisfying in terms of structure and conclusion.
3. John Otway. If you haven't seen him play live, then you really should if you ever get the chance. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-v3ycE_y85E will give you an idea of what he is like.

Date: 2007-04-22 09:53 pm (UTC)2. You Don't Know Me - David Klass, because I think you won't have read it.
3. John Rzeznik. If more specific, his song "I'm Still Here" (also known as "Jim's Theme" from Disney's Treasure Planet Soundtrack. I like his voice and it's one of my favourite songs.
4. It's a game. You have to create some sort of structure with the cubes by looking at the front, top and side view. It's hard, but it gets easier - just to pass the time.

Date: 2007-04-22 10:45 pm (UTC)1. Run, Lola, Run - really excellent German movie, with English subtitles. won several awards, so should be reasonably widely available.
2. Bernhard Schlink's "The Reader"
3. Joanna Newsom's album, "The milk-eyed Mender" - she's got a beutiful voice and her music is refreshing and unusual. She also plays the harp!

5. I have no idea who is and is not on your friendslist? Two people I enjoy to read and whom you won;t have come across are Rebelbiologista and Wordweaverlynn. I have little idea of what others look for in a journal, so have a peek :)

Love your cards and hope you sell lots and lots! I'll be interested in how many of these recommendations you've already seen/read/heard/visited/communicated with, and I might steal this meme for my own blog.

Whether or not I sell lots of cards depends on whether lots of people buy them! (hint)
