As I was a little concerned about my dodgy achilles tendon this morning I skipped the run and went swimming instead.

Twenty-one lengths (25m) of the Central Pool without a break. A year ago I would have struggled to do two without pausing for breath.

My ankle is feeling better today anyway. I can't go to Roadrunners though because in a little while I'm off to London for festive drinks with Bag Books!

Good swim. I'm going to make swimming one of my New Year's resolutions this year. I used to go to a ladies only hour at the local pool but they changed the hour to 10 - 11 pm. I just want to go to bed then, not have the changing room hassle. Enjoy your drinkies tonight!

Yay Rosie!
Well done, missus :)
You are doing *so* well - wish I had half of your motivation and determination!

Go you! Swimming and running ... you could take up cycling and become a triathlete!

I've been meaning to ask - what was your running routine when you first started all that time ago? - I'm inclined to take it up myself, but not sure exactly how to go about it.
