Did you miss me?
Oct. 5th, 2007 12:06 pmOn Thursday last week, as I was out playing Bridge, my computer Fat Andy collapsed, and was unable to communicate with the monitor when I got home.
At first, a temporary disorder of the graphics card was suspected. Fat Andy was taken to the North-West Consumables Hospital for Sick Computers for tests. A major brain haemorrhage (central processor failure) was diagnosed, and in consultation with doctors it was decided to turn off life support systems, retrieve all essential organs that could be transplanted, and create a new life form. A mercy dash was made to Preston to pay in a cheque over the counter at a Co-op Bank to minimise clearance time (noting also that Preston city centre has a branch of Lush and a rather excellent old-fashioned pub called the Fox and Grapes)
Please welcome Val (short for Valhalla) to the world!
