I really didn't feel like running this morning. I'd missed out Friday anyway, which was another lovely day like today is, only less breezy, but then I had the excuse of having played a bowls freindly with Pat and Yvonne from the Barrow Island green (always good to get practice on other greens, and the Barrow Island one is a tiny one of great "character"!)

Once I got out, however, it was a different matter. This last week I was officially due to do nine sets of threes-and-ones, but today I did three ten minute runs with just two one-minute recoveries. It's a small step from there to 30 minutes continuously, and right now I feel great!

Marvellous stuff! I'm always loathe to believe that exercise really does make you feel good because it's always been such a slog for me, but you make a good case!!

I think I should point out that it doesn't feel so good while you're actually doing it, it's afterwards when you've done your stretches and had your shower and the endorphins kick in that you get a very real high.
